Little Red Riding Hood...Revised

Do you ever have those moments when something you told your children a long time ago actually sticks with them? With Lauren, this is pretty rare these days. But this morning the kids and I were all sitting in my bed together watching Franklin. This is the cutest show on Noggin. They were reinacting the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Goose didn't want to be the grandmother because she gets eaten half way through the story. Lauren looked and me and goes "that's not how the story goes! Grandmother gets locked in a closet!" I had to contain my laughter as I told her they were just doing a different version of the story on tv. I forgot that when Jason and I were just new parents and reading Little Red Riding Hood to Lauren we thought the story was so violent and distrubing when Grandmother got eaten by the wolf. So we changed it to read that the wolf locked Grandmother in a closet. Oh boy, if her memory really is that good I'm in trouble.
