Nate - tonsils = one very cranky child

Nate was scheduled to get his tonsils removed just a few days after we got home from San Diego. Nathan was an excellent patient. He did really well with the surgery and wanted to jump on the trampoline the afternoon he got home from the hospital. However, as I had been warned the pain really came about the third day. I think he ate a record number of Popsicles! We all struggled through the first part of the week being tired and a little cranky. A six year old boy not being able to eat every half an hour can be a major family dilemma. But in the end Nate pulled through and I hope the long term benefits will make him realize the surgery was well worth it.

What a trooper Nate is! Brings back memories... Tess had her tonsils and adenoids (spelling?) taken out at 6 too! Another positive was that her snoring stopped. Does/did Nate snore? He looks pretty darn happy w/that popsicle smile:0)
