So those that know me pretty well know I have a little fainting problem. I'd rather call it my low blood pressure complication or something even more sophisticated like a vasovagal response (four years of Jason in medical school, I had to pick up some cool lingo). For as long as I can remember I have fainted. The first time I remember fainting was when my brother Doug was getting stitches removed. It was just way too much for my weak little seven year old stomach to handle. And from then its just became a lifestyle. I have fainted while getting my hair cut, in the movie theater (twice), at work, in the shower, while getting my blood drawn (several times), during my insurance consultation for my wisdom teeth removal, while watching television...to name a few. And tonight one of my worst fears came true...I would be the catcher, not the fainter. Lauren fell off the kitchen chair (which has become quite a normal occurrence for our children ever since we invested in a counter height kitchen table), spilling a bowl of applesauce on the way. Now Lauren has gotten stitches twice in the back of her head from similar falls so I was expecting some type of injury. I knelt down on the floor as she walked over to me in tears, a mouth full of spewing food, to examine her back. And then it happened. Her knees buckled, she fell limply into my arms and she didn't respond as I forcefully called her name. I didn't know what was happening but my heart was racing out of my chest. I was trying to think of what number I should call Jason on...cell, office, pager, when she finally came to. Immediately she told me that her stomach hurt and that was when I knew. She has officially inherited my weak vasovagal response, if its even really genetic. Poor girl. All I can say is it might get her a few free movie passes and a legitimate excuse to forgo a medical career.

Hey Nancy, I hope you don't mind. Kacie told me about your blog and I wanted to say hi. Your family is adorable!! I can't believe how much you guys have changed since I last saw you guys. You have even added one to the bunch. I am glad I got to see your family here on the blog and look forward to updates. I wish I could have gotten to know you much better in Ohio. I have a feeling we would have gotten along great!!

Hey Nancy,
Like mother like daughter! I remember being at Cosi and watching you go down as Nathan cried because he split his head! I wasn't quite sure who to take care of, you or Nate!
You guys are so cute! I wish you still lived here! We miss you! Jack really wants Nate to come to his b-day party...can you make it?!?!
Kacie
I sooo remember that story about you fainting after Doug's stitches were out. I remember you telling me the story when we were little! It's a good thing you didn't faint after little Lauren! I can only imagine the post...
Nancy - I just saw your comment on Chris' blog! I'm so excited I found a long lost friend! I loved seeing pictures of you and your family! So cute! I have a Lauren also - she's 18 months and she had the same dog costume as your little Luke! Small world, huh?
Okay, this blog thing rocks! I have caught up with more friends in the last two days than I have in the last ten years! Lisa, I didn't see any pictures on your blog so I will keep checking. So fun to hear from you!!
Heather...I'm so glad she did! Your hair is so much longer than I remember! I wish we had longer in Ohio too, but I'll keep myself updated with your blog! Thanks for writing.
