Simple Pleasures

I found out today that Lauren and Nate get to ride the bus to school this year. It's amazing how this little piece of good news has totally made my day. There is something about free transportation to and from school that makes going back to school so much nicer. I can still remember riding the bus home from Brookhaven Elementary one day and falling asleep on the cozy bus seat with the window cracked half way. I was the last kid on the bus and apparently the driver forgot and drove right past my bus stop. I woke up a little panicked when I didn't recognize where I was. Of course, she took me back and dropped me off right in front of my driveway! I guess its still not as bad as the time I almost got kidnapped when walking home from Flower Valley Elementary. Pleasant View just became that much more pleasant...
